Berlin Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock has invoked European unity in view of the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine. “In its most difficult hours, Europe stands most closely together – closer than many would have given us credit for,” said Annalena at a meeting with Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew and French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian on Tuesday in Lodz, Poland.

He said that their unity is important for the survival of Europe today.” as now in supporting Ukraine, “Europe pulls together”. So, it’s “a good time to continue the work in the Weimar Triangle”. The meeting of representatives of Germany, France, and Poland in the “Weimar Triangle” have been taking place for 30 years. The motive of this group is to promote co-operation between these three countries Germany, France, and Poland in crisis zones. That exists in the form of summit meetings between the foreign ministers of three nations.
Following the meeting in Poland, Annalena Baerbock planned to travel to New York to attend the United Nations (UN) General Assembly emergency session on the war in Ukraine. Annalena Baerbock tweeted on the Ukraine War Crisis
There was no reason for this war – except one man’s aggressive drive for power. But there is no greatness in raiding weaker ones, bombing cities, letting children die. It is our responsibility to take a decisive stand against it.

But – I say this just as clearly: NATO will not be able to intervene in this war. After all, nobody can want the resulting danger of limitless escalation throughout Europe. We agree with our partners on this.

We have to keep a cool head. As much as it breaks our hearts.
Wir müssen einen kühlen Kopf bewahren. So sehr es uns das Herz zerreißt. 3/3
