Indian Embassy in Ukraine issued an advisory on 27th February 2022 for the Indians stuck in Ukraine Crisis 2022 that they are continuously exploring and working to open up more borders with neighboring countries for Indian citizens.

Indian Citizens are advised to use nearby railway stations for movement out of regions of active conflict and proceed towards the western regions.

Indian Embassy advised Indian citizens to use Railways for transportation as it is safer. Whereas Ukraine Railways is also operating special trains for evacuation of people free of charge, on a first-come-first-serve basis at the railway station, and for which tickets are not required.

They have provided the website link to check the schedule of trains at https://www.uz.gov.ua/

To be more accurate, they have advised checking the Digital Boards at Railway Stations, because they are most updated and trustworthy.

Indian Embassy officials have advised the Indian students to travel in groups. First preference will be given to children, women, and elderly people at the railway stations. As we have already seen some visuals of people stuck in Ukraine Crisis 2022 that they are trying their best to leave the country as soon as possible.

And then Indian Embassy issued a second advisory on the same day to all the Indian Citizens stuck in Ukraine Crisis 2022 not to venture towards railway stations because of the intense fighting in KHARKIV, Sumy, and Kyiv. Because of this, the curfew was applied to these places.

They further informed that the weekend curfew was lifted in Kyiv, and they asked the Indian citizens to make their way to the railway station for an onward journey to the western parts. Ukraine Railways has arranged special trains for the evacuations.

Indian Embassy in Ukraine has asked all the Indian citizens on 1st March 2022 to leave Kyiv by trains or any other means available as the war intensified in that area.

Indian Government has given some helpline numbers to facilitate the exit of the remaining Indian citizens through various border transit points to the neighboring countries.

Indian Government named this evacuation Operation Ganga. An official handle on Twitter made by the Indian officials, @opganga, from where you can get all the relevant information to leave the war zone.

On 2nd March 2022, The Embassy of India in Ukraine has issued another advisory for the Indian citizens stuck in KHARKIV to leave the KHARKIV immediately and proceed to PESOCHIN, BABAYE AND BEZLYUDOVKA as soon as possible because of the Ukraine Crisis 2022.
